We got 6 inches of snow in Montclair (less than predicted, luckily), and Eli isn’t quite sure what to make of it, but he seems to like it.
Eli is working on talking. He has down hot, egg, aah (for apple) and uck (for duck and truck). His other form of communication is to grab our hands and drag us to what he wants.
Clementines have become his favorite food, followed closely by pasta (preferably in the form of macaroni and cheese).
Eli really enjoyed his weekly music class, where he and Mommy made some new friends. It starts up again in January, when he’ll also start taking a gym class at the Y.
Deirdre’s three-day-a-week work schedule is still working well for everyone. Eli gets to spend Tuesdays with Nana, Pop, and cousin Daniel. Then Leela watches him on Thursdays and Fridays.
Though there were some tough times this year (including John Caswell’s passing this summer), there were also some really happy moments. Eileen and Greg got married in a wonderful ceremony (with an excellent reception/rock concert). Grammy and Grandpa came out for the wedding, and then stayed the week (along with Aunt Amy) for our first Thanksgiving in Montclair.
Happy holidays to everyone!

Uck – great word. Must try to incorporate in more often into my own diction. Happy Holidays, you guys!
