An update on Eli and Margot:

Margot is almost 7 months old, and she is growing up fast! She is close to being able to crawl, she can pull herself up to a standing position, and tonight she just sat up from lying down on her own. We had to lower her crib mattress to the lowest setting.

She is also babbling loudly. When she’s not eating, Margot spends most of her time smiling at everyone and laughing with her mommy.

Margot’s favorite toy is her doll, Tootsie. She is also partial to the pink bunny/blanket that she sleeps with, and she always smiles when she hears Sohpie the teething giraffe squeak.

What Margot enjoys most of all, though, is any attention she gets from her big brother. She loves playing cars with him, and Eli is learning to share his toys with her.

All is well at the Birmingham-Luther household. Margot is all smiles all the time. She’s super strong (can almost do plank) and can roll over at will. She is especially entranced by her big brother’s antics.

Eli loves his 2 mornings a week at school. His latest catch phrase “this is not good” to describe food he’s not fond of. His other gem this week was to instruct his mommy to “be happy” after tipping over the coffee table and spilling wine all over the place (my wine, not his). Good advice to us all.
